Good morning and happy September! I'm waiving the white flag and staying inside today. My tolerance for humidity is used up. 😖 I'll tackle inside tasks that I've been postponing instead. I MAY even make a phone call or two. As much as I dislike phone calls, it's better than dealing with the outside mugginess.

I hope you can spend the day daydreaming of an Olympic-sized pool of money!

Good morning! September is starting off with the same muggy conditions that made slogging through August difficult. I'll be doing my exercising inside today.

I've received a noticeable increase in campaign emails + texts in the last week. The last straw was a text that came in after 11 pm. Enough is enough! It will only get worse over the next 2 months, so I'm unsubscribing (when I didn't subscribe!) and stopping all without mercy. It may be a losing battle, but I'm fighting back.

Good morning and happy #SofaSunday. The day started in the low 60Fs / 16Cs but it's not going to stay that way. The dreaded h + h (heat and humidity) are returning today and will stay for the week.

I've already been out walking and my goal for the day is to settle on which family history brick wall to work on over the next few days of staying in the AC. I can do that while mostly relaxing on the sofa, maintaining my regular Sunday routine.

Good morning! I'm happy it's #Slackerday Saturday. Despite a nap yesterday afternoon and a full night's sleep I don't have much energy this morning. I'm putting a lot of pressure on my second cup of coffee to correct this situation. Fortunately, I don't have anything that has to get done today except dinner.

Meanwhile I have a pair of confused Carolina wrens checking out the empty bird house by our front porch. I hope they figure out that we're heading into fall, not spring.

Good morning. I changed things up today and took a walk earlier than normal. Thunderstorms aren't predicted until later, but the heavy clouds convinced me to get out early. Now the sky can do whatever it chooses, and I can get on with my day.

Since there isn't a lot on my to-do list, I've decided to reorganize the bedroom bookshelf. There are a few books I don't need to hang on to. Since I'm in a "What am I hanging onto this for?" mood I might as well take advantage of it.

Good morning. Today I'm hitting the water park with my daughter and granddaughter. School starts on Monday, so we're going to spend the day lazing in the sun, shade and water. At least I will. They can enjoy the water slides. I'll be floating in the lazy river.

The weather is cooperating with sun and tolerably warm temperatures. Thankfully, the extreme heat is on hiatus. I'm thinking we'll sleep well tonight after all the fresh air.

Good morning! My day is starting with pleasantly cool temperatures. (63F / 17C). Since humidity is making a comeback later this week, I'm going to carve out time to enjoy the "fall-ish" weather while it's here.

The start of school next week signals a decrease in visiting tourists is in sight. Most of us who live here year-round will breathe a sigh of relief. Less traffic on our roads and less people in our stores! Quiet shore life will return.

Good Monday morning! I'm moving kind of slow after a late (for me) night. The outdoor concert reminded me of why, given the chance, I prefer good live music over the recorded version. Of course, being outside on a clear and comfortable night is always a great experience.

Today it's back to reality with errands to run and laundry. The cats are already out on the catio enjoying the cool morning air. I'll join them there this afternoon.
