Good morning and happy #Slackerday. Our house guests have left, and I intend to relax all day. The few essential chores will get done but that's the extent of my efforts today.

I think the cats will celebrate their own brand of slackerday / caterday. They are happy to have the house back to normal. Now they have no unfamiliar humans to contend with, although Lucy has liked having additional shoes around to sniff and investigate.

Hurray for ANY improvement in humidity levels! Who knows? Maybe there's a shift in the weather pattern in the works. Meanwhile, our humidity is sitting at 76%. I'm hoping it drops.

It occurred to me yesterday that I hadn't had a single day this summer when I've had my coffee on the front porch. It used to be routine. In the past few years, it has gotten progressively hotter, so now sipping on the front porch has become a special occasion.

Good morning! Another nice day, but humidity has increased. Still comfortable for a walk, as long as I stay in the shade.

Later today we'll have a full house as my daughter, grandchild + son in law come for dinner. Tomorrow will be a quiet day, ordinary day with no guests or extra family. I won't mind. This has been an enjoyable few days, but I need some down time!

Yesterday our area's drought conditions were downgraded from severe to moderate. Recent rain has helped!

Good morning! You got a great photo of the moon. Our moon was visible, but haze from the humidity discouraged any photo.

Hope your aches improve as you work through the day. I think a long, relaxing time in the recliner this afternoon is in order after yesterday's effort.
