I agree this is a really good use case for nostr. Certainly not jammed in. @nprofile1q... its essentially what youre trying to do with the ratings system but supercharged so that its "intelligent" enough to be able to specifically tailor your recommendations by comparing your personal taste profile against other individuals by assigning scores to various categories (genres for example) based off a users actions. WOT essentially allows you to build personal profiles that follow you beyond just a single app and compare with other similar users. It has powerful implications across the entire valueverse.

The way I can see something like this implemented is to take a ratings system (like what 4v4music.com has). You build a profile of each npubs activities, most zapped tracks, ratings, etc. Now take that data and extrapolate the tags for those tracks. And now you have a database of people/likes.

You then compare your npub with others who's profile most closely matches yours (highest wot scores). Any of their top tracks not listed in your activities list are probably good recommendations for new music.

I think PCR might be a better venue only because I feel it makes things a little more balanced. Also, I think itll be more beneficial for nostriches to learn about RSS and consider how it can work with their projects as opposed to trying to convince rss ppl to use nostr. PCR would be the perfect venue imo.

Otherwise, BwB could be incredible as I know laurien and spence both have deep enough technical knowledge on both sides of the fence to keep up in the convo with you two. Theyre the perfect hosts for this imo.

Yes, im all for leveraging existing assets. Thousands of songs, albums, music shows and even live video. And entire content library.

Think outside the box people. Think about how nostr can augment the existing ecosystem, not how we have to rewrite and recreate whats already there.

We, nostriches, are so used to operating within a broken fiat system where we have to rebuild from the ground up in our own image. Thats not the case here. Breathe easy fellow nostrnaught. RSS is already on the mission with the right ethos. Let the primal "fight" part of your brain rest for a minute and let's create. Augment (not replace) RSS with nostr functionality!
