I agree with most of what you said there. BUT..

I don't think you should feel responsible or guilty about the fact that you stopped educating people. If you take this thought to an extreme, you'd have to personally coach newbies through their setup process and be on call 24/7 so they can't possibly make a mistake.
You did a lot of great educational work and the bitcoin community is better for it. There is always that point though, in bitcoin especially, where the responsiblity of a bitcoiner shifts to themselves.
