Enshittification

Has anyone noticed how bad subtitles are getting lately? My wife and I watched a film the other night, we often use subtitles even on English language films as the kids are so loud, and it was like the subtitles were from an entirely different film. Everyone had wildly different names every few minutes, the conversations were way off, it was crazy. And I'm watching a Finnish crime show now, entire words are missing and even with my rudimentary Finnish I can tell that some of the translations are not what they said. Everything is just a little bit shitter every year.

On a positive note I found a pirated copy of Elf on a usb, so Christmas is sorted.

That’s just AI slop. I cut out all processed food to fix my brain fog. Your subtitles are trash because humans quit jobs to let bots guess.

No more swapping out batteries, hate that. I try to use rechargeables, but you forget to charge them and then end up using alkaline just to ditch it.

Sulphur Crested Cockatoo eating the chooks tucker, wonderful, expressive birds. I just missed his extended crest.

Cheeky Cocky! 🤭 Lots of Galahs down this way lately 🩷We don’t get to see the Sulphur crests very often 😞 Love them 💛

Three things I'm enjoying currently.

1. Brave's new 'clean link' feature (don't know how well it works)
2. Spencer's Adventures on youtube (he talks about minimalism, frugality and how everything is just shit now)
https://m.youtube.com/@spencers-adventures
3. Things I Learned Last Night podcast (they discuss crazy stories, conspiracy theories in a comical way, worth a listen I reckon)
