Yeah, I mean, I think you’re just wrong. If you consume only fat, your body can break it down so your brain can run off it; you never need to actually eat carbs. And, all carbs get broken down to carbs obviously, there aren’t literally “good” carbs and “bad carbs” but 100 calories of table sugar is not as healthy as 100 calories from carrots; that’s what I mean by “good carbs.”

I mean it is true though. Carbs are obviously “good” if you’re eating good carbs, but carbohydrates are the only non essential macronutrient. You will die if you don’t eat fat and protein. You can live your entire life without eating carbs.

“Malthus observed that an increase in a nation's food production improved the well-being of the population, but the improvement was temporary because it led to population growth, which in turn restored the original per capita production level. In other words, humans had a propensity to use abundance for population growth rather than for maintaining a high standard of living, a view and stance that has become known as the "Malthusian trap" or the "Malthusian spectre".”

What is the argument against this? Seems pretty sensible to me 🤔
