I interviewed/recommended a guy who was a self-taught+MCSE admin-type who thought he wanted to be a dev. Rather, I convinced him to become our InstallShield guru and he OWNED our build process. Was the only guy to stay on after we were acquired/(and then all RIFFED in 2001).
