@nprofile1q... I bet "platforming" includes many instances of the spelling of "de-platforming" with a hyphen.

Otherwise, I don't understand how the word "platforming" could be so much more common. I get that the graph correlates "deplatformng" with the advent of Gamergate. But to me, "deplatforming" is a word I've heard much more.

The most common usage of "platforming" in a sentence I would expect is from a Leftist using it as a talking point, e.g. "Twitter should stop platforming nazis." So the fact that "Platforming" is more popular is either a fluke, or shows you that Leftists dominate online discourse much more.
