Today, for the CEASE FIRE announcements, I asked Claude to help me analyze a very simple thing that may also help analysts to predict
When crisis may break or cease in the future.

I asked to see how geopolitical events translated into direct
population impact (lockdowns, siren alerts, shelter-in-place, massacres, mandatory vaccines) mapped against when they hit on the Jewish holiday calendar. focusing on what actually happened to Israeli civilians. The dot size encodes severity (catastrophic → largest, with a pulsing ring), color encodes impact type, and the shaded columns mark the holiday months. Hover any dot for the full story: what happened, and concretely how many people were affected.

A few things that hit hard visually now:

**Tishrei is overwhelmingly the most impacted column** — every single year from 2019 onward has a major dot there. The holiest month of the Jewish calendar has been struck repeatedly: COVID lockdowns (2020), October 7th massacre on Shemini Atzeret (2023), Hezbollah missiles during Rosh Hashana (2024).

**Nisan/Passover is the second most impacted** — COVID total lockdown (2020), Green Pass exclusions (2021), Iranian missile attack (2024), Houthi missiles (2025).

**2020 and 2023 are the catastrophic years** — both with multiple maximum-severity events hitting directly on the holiday calendar.
