2) I have an hourly cron job on my server to test if it's actually working, which as of a day or two ago was reporting less than 50% success rate.

@hunter0one Oh yeah, a good permanent penalty would be losing an inventory slot.
Maybe have some rare item that restores it.

@hunter0one Oh yeah that reminds me. There are portals to underworld/welkin, right? Which presumably I am still missing tech for (tfw no diamonds).
Can those portals be used for x/z travel? If not, I'm begging for it, because boats make my server shindeshimaitai...

(I think a fun way to implement it is like... You simply tell it where it should take you to, at build time I guess. So, if you're keen, you can use it to explore. Maybe add some lasting, perhaps permanent, penalty if you die shortly after taking a portal.)


And "asking you for things" reminds me: Do potatoes/carrots/etc. exist? Pigs reference them in their help text (and presumably behaviour) but I can't find any other indication.
