You have to realize the Bitcoin Conference is a giant networking game to "have a seat at the table". I've attended it twice, had a great time, but realized what it is quickly. That being said, to my f...

I wonder if the money spent on those conferences wouldn't be better spent trying to increase awareness of normies about why/how the fiat system sucks and why/how bitcoin is a better alternative. This would increase bitcoin adoption which I guess is the main goal

For example, what if the money was spent on Google, Facebook, YouTube ads, which is where the majority of normies are? Short ads sparking curiosity in them about why the current system sucks, how it affects their lives and pointing them to easy to grasp material (videos, blogs, books, etc) if they want to know more. Wouldn't this be more effective to increase adoption?

Impressive speech by Carney attempting to take the high ground and switch to a narrative that fits with “beliefs” today. I’m curious to know if he is going to ever mention the bigger lie that t...

I wonder if he really understand that fiat money is the biggest cause of those issues.

Maybe it doesn't even cross his mind that we should fix the money first and so, he believes we can cooperate better by adjusting the current system instead of switching to a better one.

Too many shows and book series go on for too long. Rather than end at an ideal spot to maximize the art/story of it all, they keep going until the creators get bored or the money isn't flowing anymore...

Worse than that is when they try to "revive" the show/movie. They end it good and after years they're like "oh let's bring that back up, ppl loved it". Shows they are out of creative ideas and just want to make a quick buck, basically undermining a great idea. Dexter, Prison Break and Matrix comes to mind

I have a new article about bitcoin treasury corporations, whether they're good or bad for Bitcoin as a network, and a note on the overall store-of-value vs medium-of-exchange debate: https://www.lyna...

Very interesting your realistic take on bitcoin adoption. Thank you for sharing!

A question.... Do you think that, given the current volatility and tax implications, trying to convince merchants that Bitcoin is a better alternative isn’t likely to get many of them on board?" ?

People can give it a shot. So far, the model that seems semi-successful is emphasizing hubs. Like Bitcoin Beach, Bitcoin Jungle, etc. A dense little spending area.

Not to be sappy but I’ve been blessed to be friends with some really cool people in bitcoin. Some of the best people of my generation. What’re the odds that god would put us all in one spot? ...

And for me, willing to be sappy, it's amazing to exist in this time where even not having much friends in bitcoin, I have access, through this protocol, to many interesting and smart ppl around the world to share knowledge and other stuff. That's something worth celebrating.
