I've been playing BioWare's "golden age" games since the announcement of their closing and man, it still hasn't sunken in just how tragic it is to lose them. Yes, modern BioWare was a mess and needed to end somehow, but their legacy ending so unceremoniously really sucks for those of us who loved their games for so long. :sad_guilded:

At risk of spreading mild negativity, I can't help but be curious:

What are some bands and artists of a retro era that everyone seems to love but you just can't get into?

For me, The Beatles, Guns N Roses and Prince are the ones.

I simply don't understand why people love those three so much. Of the three, Prince is most tolerable, but even then, I just find all three incredibly grating to listen to. :odysee_thinking:

Has anyone played the Gothic remake yet?

I haven't had the chance to play it or the original, but I do have almost all of Piranha Bytes' games in my Steam library and I'm trying to decide whether I should try to tweak/mod the original Gothic or just play the remake. I've heard people say the remake is amazing and I've also heard you need quite a few mods to make the original work correctly. :odysee_thinking:

On the surface, the connections between Portal and Half-Life seem to be mostly tongue-in-cheek easter eggs for Valve fans. In truth, there's a lot of complex, interconnected lore between the two!

I wish I had more time to learn how to mod HL/Portal. I have an idea for a Portal mod to showcase the Resonance Cascade from the perspective of an Aperture maintenance worker. :odysee_thinking:
