We've been releasing our music in this decentralized way for the last 2 years with RSS thro our website
https://www.doerfelverse.com/ and our music is connected to our Bitcoin node. A long with being able to listen to our music on our website via the big orange "music" button, we are on every podcasting 2.0 app and it is as decentralized as it gets.
Wavlake is not exactly decentralized, they just make and host RSS feeds and wallets on their site for music and then they also share their content to the podcasting 2.0 apps as well via podcastindex.org.
www.musicsideproject.com is a good open source tool that helps you build your own rss feed for music, then you use your own website to host it all, the you can add your stuff to the podcastindex.org manually very easily and there you have it, self hosted decentralized music for people to listen to and if they like it send Bitcoin to or value in any way you ask.
If you've not tried the fountain.fm app that's a good place to start as far as a podcasting2.0 app. www.lnbeats.com shows only the music that's all on the index. There's a bunch of great ones though! Podverse.fm podcastguru.io
There is a brand new music music app that is in beta that is very close to being released that uses the index as the database, the UI works like Spotify, but for all this decentralized music that is out there self hosted like us or via wavlake, we will blast the URL for it as soon as our friend
