Now that I’m calmed down and everyone is good… just like holy shit that was gnarly

All good now, at least most my friends and family accounted for and just A LOT of material damage

But materials can be rebuilt, human life on the other hand cannot be replaced

Grateful… just super grateful

It was just… idk we deal with a lot of “tornado threats” constantly where I live

But tonight was different… there were so many and so severe and they were changing direction so rapidly across such a large expanse of the state

There was a dad tonight… who was trying to get into the gas station after management locked the doors to keep them closed… because the trees were literally bending to the ground and he had this little baby girl toddler in his arms… and when I tell you the that there is a sound of a dad trying to break a glass door (that I ran to unlock and said fuck the gas station employees who said leave it locked… I literally screamed at them if they fucking die that’s your fucking fault and that’s fucked up) and the scream that this little girl screamed when we finally got the door opened… the sound of it is seared into my memory in a way I don’t think I’ll ever forget

Watching a dad attempt to save his kids life… I know this sounds dramatic but in the moment it was very real… and it was very jarring
