It's true, that's a problem for Bitcoin, but It will be for any kind of money known to me, and i think that Bitcoin solves the main problems that currencies tries to solve better than any other, so It's easy to imagine, and hopefully happens, that there will be a fork of bitcoin and yes as u propouse each 10 light minutes area get their own and the market do it's thing.

Idk as usdt and usdc can be block or burn anytime from your wallet i don't think it will help to have an easy exit ramp, they might just block them all when things get worse

Why is that Bitcoin was better before segwit? As far as i know It allows lightning and doesn't reduce privacy, It make Bitcoin more complex what might couse some friction but idk i think lightning was needed

Probably not becouse if it's cheap they should mine Bitcoin or whatever that gives profit, but china is growing it's energy production so fast that they might be rich and have cheap energy if they stop growing it's industrial production as europe asks
