In previous seasons I've had one or two become daily visitors. This one used to arrive in the wisteria at the front door and call out. My ex would say, "Your bird's here" and we'd have lovely conversa...

Yesterday a little black piwakawaka came into my house for a flit around. Twice. He followed me through the house then sat on a ceiling fan above my head and we had a good chat. Lots of 'Meep meep!'

@nprofile1q... we seldom get power cuts here (touch wood), but even with 2 power hogs (offspring and partner) in the house we're still noticing the difference in our bills.

@nprofile1q... Oh bugger. I’ve been expecting this. I’m due to order some repeat meds now so hopefully I can stock up on the one I absolutely need before there are issues with that one. The rest I can ration if need be as they’re on the list already.
