I do have to ponder... Kolibri takes advantage of the 32X PWM for its music (in much the same way Chaotix does). Maybe BlastEm is struggling with having the PWM and the 2612 going at the same time? Perhaps an option to disable the PWM would help with testing (or even just playing the games in general)... though, then the music would sound similar to how it does when running the game in Gens (it's been well over a decade since I last used Gens or any of its common variants, but I definitely recall it didn't have support for PWM audio).

By disabling the (still very much scratchy-sounding) music in the game's options, the framerate jumped to a near-consistent 59~60 with only the occasional dip to 54, which means something in the emulator's sound-handling is likely what's causing the lag.

I expected today to be a little weird, but it ended up being rather nice. Girlfriend brought pepperoni and cheese sandwiches (her folks didn't have the dough in reserve to make pizza, so she slapped that shit on some burger buns - fuckin' delish).

The time I spend with her is my reminder of why I work on my renders... and why I really need to just get off my ass and take that goddamn model back into Blender so I can actually work on the armature (even if it means reworking entire portions of the body mesh, which probably would've happened regardless), because I'm absolutely NOT handing it over to her as it is.
