For those leaving BIP110 for the "Network Effect" :
The network effect doesn't apply here because Bitcoin (talking bip110 PoW hard fork chain here) doesn't compete/compare with corecoin, monero or any other. The network comes to Bitcoin because there is literally nothing else. "Network effect" is mostly a fiat term for VCs to determine which product from a list is more valuable. There is no list here.
And no, the hard fork does not create a new coin, miner disobedience does, and their corecoin is gonna die out like every other new coin trying to leech on Bitcoin.
Bitcoin is not about concessions, it's about, among other things, being absolutely uncompromising in making sure the 21 million cap is never breached. I don't see corecoin halving in 2028. Core is beyond repair, and the culture defending it completely lost the plot. There is no competition.

Brutal right? Something was reveal about the nature of the power dynamics of Nodes and miners and Luke's take away was "But MY altcoin will work." No brother, that doesn't solve the problem.
I don't agree, Bitcoin has always been the chain on which its soul resides : the anarchist never gonna give up sewer rats truly decentralized nodes that will die for perfect money. Today those are the rdts nodes. The exchanges don't show its chain yet, but its only a matter of time before they do and its market cap will reveal its true value like every other fork.

Bitcoin is NOT over. Core's days, Saylor/Fink & Big Bitcoin's days, disobedient miners and their butcoin's days will soon be over. But Bitcoin's days are NOT over, its soul lives on in the rdts node runners.
The chain is stalling but it won't for long. Bitcoin HAS to win, and it WILL win. Fight with me, we may have lost a battle but we will definitely win the war.
