My son begged me to buy Bitcoin when it was first available. I was poor, but could have scrounged up a hundred dollars, which would have soon changed to a truly life changing amount. But I couldn't understand it at all, didn't know how to buy it if I did have the hundred, I might not even have had a bank account at that time, and I missed the boat.

I don’t know the answer but it could be several things. Some supermarkets may have been able to lower operating costs. How? Maybe layoffs, negotiating buying larger quantities, selling more white label vs brand items, etc. If someone knows the actual answer it would be good to know.

They have higher revenue but the same profit margins. We’d expect their revenue to increase as the value of the dollar decreases - it takes more money to buy the same amount of stuff. If they were gouging then their profit margins would vastly increase. They don’t. That’s the point.

It's spent Brewing grain. The food co-op I am a part of has a malting operation that supplies many of the local breweries with local grain locally malted that I get from a few of them.
Flemingfarm · 94w
Seeing this come back in my feed I never answered parts. The amount of grain depends on how large the brew that is made. Some breweries have large capacities while others are a lot smaller. I can get up to 8 full barrels on a high abv brew but the normal is 3 to 4 barrels for a full run. It's most...
