Only reason that comes to mind:
They want their bot to appear as normal as possible to all webpages so they don't trigger anti bot measures.

Agree. I think most of knotzis are from 2021 "NFT" era. In those times newcomers were either strongly for NFT (and went to shit coins) or strongly against and went to Bitcoin.
The bitcoiners from before honestly don't care about jpegs (except Luke) and (correctly) assume no one will care about them in the future.
