As someone who's learning programming this makes me very sad. I worry about the quality of software being too low, even if the volume of new apps may increase - it reminds me of cheap mass produced plastic. On the other hand, even if it's possible for a passionate developer to review everything properly and keep up the quality, this still leads to reliance on AI subscriptions.

Oof, sorry to hear that man. Funny how little things like that gear breaking can be such a pain and annoyance, especially when you're already in a terrible mental state.

Are you sure that you can't replace that gear? I mean gears are so common that I thought should be easy to get a spare, but yeah I guess is not so easy like that..... This might be a long shot but have you ever thought about 3D printing one? Maybe would be too much work to design these I guess.
