Really do not understand the technical shit you are talking about but would it actually be possible to delete taproot and deprecate segwit? Is what you are proposing a realistic alternative to the core vs knots nonsense that would not fork bitcoin?

Rejecting a soft fork happens *only* if you run a counter hard fork. Soft forks add or tighten rules. Hard forks removes or loosens rules. If you don’t run/signal for the soft fork, you’re not rejecting it. You’re simply ignoring it. Ignoring a soft fork can’t stop it from happening.

Does not impact my life if the earth is flat or round so I do not waste my time worrying about it

I personally think the earth is round and we rotate around the sun though. I do not think there is some sort of global conspiracy that the global powers are trying to hide from us. We can’t get along with Russia or china but for some reason we are cooperating with them about the construct of our world?
