@nprofile1q... I wonder how well that will work considering what would be normally considered to be the largest part of that alliance- Labour- is already in power and people are underwhelmed?

Given a blue-Tory government as in 2024 then The Devil You Don't is actually an option. Given the red-Tory one we theoretically will have in 2029, it isn't.

@nprofile1q... This feels like something I've thought before- we had 'something' under the Cameron-to-Sunak Conservatives and it didn't work.

Then, according to the press, we moved left under Starmer's Labour and... it didn't work. (Mainly because we didn't move left. In fact, we didn't move anywhere at all)

There's a good chance that next time, people won't want a return to the 'something' and will skip the Conservatives out of hand on that basis, and want to try the opposite side of it- that is, Reform.
