A short #niri update.

I am totally addicted now. 🫣

There were a few problems to overcome:

* Huge Bitwig Studio cursor
* Non-functional Unicode input with Shift+Ctrl+U
* GTK3 and Qt apps not following the system theme

Other than that, it has mainly been just learning and adapting the workflow, which already feels very good now.

(2/3) So I started putting together my own setup with #waybar, #walker, #swaync, etc. Pretty quickly, though, I realized that getting anywhere near the level I am used to would eventually be a rocky path (Quick Settings with keyboard navigation, for example).

Ideally, I'd probably would have to build my own complete shell with #quickshell. But I simply don't have the time or expertise to do that.

I might start using #niri in parallel with #gnome and would like to ask you, fans of scrolling tiling #windowmanager (s), what I should use if my goal is
- a bar;
- a launcher;
- a lock screen;
- and notifications.

... and I'd like to achieve a GNOME-like aesthetic.

Should I go custom with #waybar, #walker, #gtklock and #swaync, or should I try to accept the multitude of features I will never use and get comfortable with #dms or #noctalia?

I am looking for two to three #beta ŧesters to test a hand full of new mix and mastering #plugins for #linuxaudio that are not based on any framework.

The developer expects things to be rocky due to not relying on JUCE & Co.

The plugins will be released under a new brand all at once for Linux, macOS, and Windows.

Stamp seems to be a better fit for what I am looking for in a potential future native #gnome email client.

I love #gnome, its #libadwaita app ecosystem. But I also love #scrolling #tiling à la #niri. For now, #paperwm works well, but I wonder what the future of window management in GNOME will look like. 🤔

Mosaic isn't going to cut it for me. 🫣
