Have seen several goannas at various times and places. I recall one very large one when we stopped for a coffee and some food along a highway on the way from Melbourne to Canberra. It same out of the bush from behind us and walked straight up to us. Naturally we did not feed it. It's not what you do with wildlife. Though we did give it some water. I'd say it probably met many tourists this way. The wooden picnic table likely has become its haunt. 😀🧡
