Our little community around us in rural SC is going strong. Lots of people already willing to barter meat, milk, honey, edible and medicinal plants, and all kinds of trade skills available.

Right now my family can provide eggs, meat, milk, basic construction, advanced carpentry, advanced animal husbandry/health, and medial gardening skills.

One of the most insanely tasty things I’ve done in the dehydrator lately was taking all of the skin and scraps from a hot smoked turkey, threw it on parchment paper on the racks, lightly salted and peppered it, and dehydrated it. It barely made it off the racks before everyone “gobbled” it up.
