Well there's clever and there's wise. I'm not sure Opportunity will get their land tax across the line with either party. There's also the hard ball Arden played with the Greens when it came to ruling out Stanton Turei as a minister, which seemed to work then. He may be emulating that

I'm not convinced he'll stick to that, or even that it was accidental.
Strikes me as a plausibly deniable ploy to discourage Nat inclined people from voting for them, and encourage left block people to desert Labour and Greens

I wonder if it would also work on dedicated separated heavy traffic lines. The savings might be even greater with a guided track so the surfaces and wheels could have lower running resistance

I just dropped off a food parcel for the eldest (who has tonsillitis. Again. In their twenties) would in no way want drive through unnecessarily, but what I could see from South road looked ok so far. They really have cleared all the usual suspect mud tanks on my route, so hopefully the rest of the preparedness has been done well. Fingers crossed that we get the low side of what's predicted
