In 2017, Core was on the right side of history because they were fighting on the same side as the plebs.

In 2026, Core is on the wrong side of history because they're fighting against the plebs.

Do you see the difference?

In any year, fight against the plebs at your own peril.

Bitcoin always has been based on bushido, and the book on this topic explains a bushido that's based on Bitcoin.

Bushido is based on reality, which includes math. It's about the virtues that transcend both objectivity and subjectivity, and that which works best in bringing about the most goodness and beauty in the world.

Like the visual applications of the Fibonacci sequence throughout nature, Bitcoin's structure of proof of work, halvings, difficulty adjustments, etc, has a beautiful, mathematical elegance, founded firmly in the beautiful flow of reality.

As a result of this, interacting with Bitcoin can align our incentives with the way the universe works (i.e. lower time preference, higher virtues, etc)...but only if we allow it. We're free to resist those incentives, and with all the ugly grifting and infighting lately, it's clear that many of us are following our own way, rather than the way of truth, beauty, honor that Bitcoin was built from, and outlines for us.

If you want to learn more, here's how Svetski explained it:

Everything going badly in Bitcoin—from the spam to the Epstein FUD to the price—is a result of Bitcoiners not adhering to the bushido of Bitcoin.

A wicked man and his bitcoin are soon parted.

Many of us haven't read or internalized this book, and it shows.

I've had a change of heart regarding the Core/Knots debate.

No, I'm still pro-Knots.

But I've realized that debating, and even running Knots, while good, is hacking at the leaves of evil.

To strike at the root, we must turn to God and involve Him in everything related to Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is built on God's laws, and He has blessed us with it as an escape from the fiat system (see 1 Corinthians 10: 13).

But if too few of us choose to follow Him, & trust more in Bitcoin's code than in His grace, then 𝘽𝙞𝙩𝙘𝙤𝙞𝙣 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙛𝙖𝙞𝙡.

The one in Chattanooga is amazing! They're doing a chapter-by-chapter deep dive in 2 Samuel each week, unless there's a holiday (like Thanksgiving) or other special occasion, in which they'll talk about that. They're also not afraid to talk about political things, like Charlie Kirk, or the scamdemic (they even called it that from the pulpit once!).

They livestream the sermon every Saturday and Sunday, which you can watch here:

Oh! And they accept bitcoin for donations, too! 😁They also accept a hundred or so other cryptos, but it's a step in the right direction, at least!
