You knew you were about to experience one heck of a game when the title screen showed corpses on the floor :Metroid: The atmosphere in this game is still incredible after 32 years. #RetroGaming #SN...

Good atmosphere and actually most of the graphics aged pretty well, which is fairly unusual for an SNES game. I wish it had a controller with more buttons and a better map but goodness gracious this game is astonishingly good! I've never played Metroid before this so its not nostalgia blinding me, its just really, really good

When I listen to 90s music, I don't listen to it at random, but instead the songs that lasted the test of time. Likewise, I hate nostalgia glasses and really only want to play games that lasted the teat of time.

In an age where terrible platformers were the standard, Super Metroid came out as a Metroidvania. Normally nostalgic douches praise old games for being old, but this game actually withstands the test of time. I'm not kidding, you could release it today. Play it bitch

The way your parents remember black and white television, you remember black and white video gaming if you had a Gameboy as a child like I did. I remember a year or two later, the Gameboy Color came out unironically advertising that it played in color. Crazy times, the 90s
