I opted to go for the non vr version of the af-p 70-300 because Nikon is retarded and only put switches for vr on the full frame version of the lens but didn't update any pre-2016 cameras to let you switch it off. For what I use it for (planes and sometimes birds) I'm going to be shooting at like 1/1000 99% of the time so I figure the lack of vr really doesnt matter (and might actually be detrimental because of how its apparently useless with high shutter speeds and tripods)
