@Laura

"Studying" mechanical engineering, because machines are kinda cool :3

Also building temperature probes for a living :/

I like playing with computers, even if I don't have a clue about what I'm doing.

Pretty invested in machine-tools and prototype part production in the homeshop or hackerspace, from lathes and mills, to 3D-printers and EDM-machines.

Gender is complicated for my little brain.

--no longer undercuddled :3--

Drilling 5x 8mm x 230mm through 1.4057 is gonna be great fun right?

At least I'll have an excuse why I was busy for so long....

TIL McMaster-Carr has a paper catalogue

I suppose the german equivalent is the Hoffman catalouge? Though they only really do tooling, not *everything*.

I have been eyeing the outdated one at work. There's also a newer one, so the old one is just rotting away in the shop.... I should take that one with me some time....

I think I need to either start moving my materials storage and dead machine projects to the basement, or spread the load more evenly.

Doing a rough estimate, this shelf weighs around 150-300kg.
On 0.6m^2 -> max ~500km/m^2

Admittedly, also right next to a wall, but still, that's quite heafty... probably not something that would just immediately get approved by an engineer. So.... project for soon™: Move my dead machines and material storage around a bit.
