@nprofile1q... It’s not just that he’s brown and Hispanic or they ICE has quotas and/or all the other things previous comments have said. I bet they’re harassing the poor guy because of the publicity around his case and their own misconduct.

Look how DHS is still going after Kilmar Abrego Garcia because all the horrible things that happened to him garnered so much public sympathy!

@nprofile1q... Getting AI to work properly (for whatever purpose) requires data curation by humans, which requires significant investment, but since part of the AI hype is the idea that you can replace humans nobody wants to admit that or act accordingly.

@nprofile1q... @nprofile1q... @nprofile1q... I tend to agree with Steve Gibson when he says that general-purpose LLMs are, fundamentally, not securible. Just by the nature of how they work.

Narrow, purpose built LLMs and other AI tools may be more securible or at least have a smaller blast radius, but the current corporate pyramid schemes, uh, that is, market pressures are all based on general-purpose AI.
