@Pawlicker 🐾😹 I've seen like four deals on Macbook Airs while prowling for anything worthwhile during Prime Day. iToddlers will just have to get creative.
Why is Firefox's settings pane copied from Edge now? Everything used to be pretty flat and easy to parse, now every little thing has to be in a submenu of a submenu because the other browsers did it. Why can't I delete search engines from the list entirely, there's only options to disable them when you used to be able to right-click delete.
@All-bones Jones :verified: Every blogpost I see is "hurr durr ai bad," but nobody's willing to be brave enough to acknowledge that AI usage went up directly proportional to search engines getting worse. Google is so bad at search that they replaced their search bar with Gemini and it still got fucking worse instead of better.
Ignoring things like "AI is less of a prick helping me with my code than Stack Overflow" -- I'm sure there's other versions of that for other usecases -- the simple truth is that AI can't be eliminated until search engines get good again.
