Nobody thinks you knew it was like this, but you might want to hire some truly adversarial process and systems auditors and demand full reviews of any other projects you are promoting or funding.

Always took for granted they fully audited what they were funding but clearly not? Another case of trust, don't verify.

I see many people questioning self custody which apart from coldcard remains as safe as ever. But how about VCs and influencers doing their due diligence? I guess there's no reason why they should, except their own integrity.

The blame is with Coinkite and NVK of course, but all of us have a lot to learn from this. The truth is everyone who not only used but recommended CC (me included) failed to verify and just trusted. It sucks.
