@nprofile1q... we have a woman who is local in my county in Central Vermont who has been really leading the charge in the Vermont legislature to be a lot more rigorous about data brokers; the woman who's running in the primary against her has donations that are exclusively from out-of-state lobbying orgs. This is a really challenging thing to fight against, all this tech $$ but I'm glad she's doing it.

Friday afternoon reminder to not empty your inbox at the expense of someone else's. Look, just because I have a difficult time explaining what I do for work doesn't mean I don't still want to have a full-on weekend. Especially now. @nprofile1q... There's been a rabid bat found one town over from me. Our state Health Department's advice is "Wash the affected area with soap and water and then call the health department or medical personnel and follow their instructions" If you get treatment you will be okay.

Thanks to everyone who gave me feedback on how to turn off (or quiet) intrusive AI so that I can help my patrons at the public library who often come to me asking for this help.
