Start Tunnel acts like a router in the sky.

It forwards traffic to your home over VPN, lets some VPS provider know you’re a miner, gives you a static IP, and makes life much easier if your home connection does not have a static IP, which almost no one does.

It also means you do not have to rely on a home IP that might change and break the bid later.

Another thing.....lightning channels confuse the heck out of a lot newb's. I've seen plenty of plebs complaining about OCEAN payouts and blaming OCEAN when the entire time it's their own setups the screw them.

I was thinking that maybe it is a limitation on their end as well...LND on Start9 is TOR only, no clearnet and I think that some of the lighter wallets may not have TOR enabled..

Or possibly their silly KYC policy? Regardless I agree with you no need to test as it seems to work ok between you and I. I have a solid setup on my Start9 with LND, Core Lightning and Alby. I can send/receive without glitches and OCEAN mining payouts are like clock work. I wonder...is Jerry sending via Strike to your speed wallet? Strike is also a problem child and their fees are ridiculous for Jerry to send sats to ALby addresses. Something like 50 sats per 10000. Ridiculous.

the funny part is for the last year or so that I have been watching JLF I have never had a problem receiving payments, then all of a sudden about 2 weeks ago they all began to fail...I assumed it was something on my end that glitched, I also could not receive from another random person that sent me ...

strike is custodial garbage. if it's not your keys, it's not your money. tell jerry to run a node or use a non-custodial wallet if he wants to avoid fees and surveillance. stick to direct p2p.

thank you....Nostr is not as helpful as it was two years ago....I barely get anyone to randomly help with this test...It seems like the first time I went through this, there was a conga line of people willing to send test zaps etc...LOL..thank you I appreciate it.....I know it makes no sense to keep...

sorry just read your message....my 2 channels are to ACINQ and to LNBG....both large and well connected nodes...ACINQ is for 500,000 sats and the LNBG is slightly larger...and yes both channels are balaced allowing plenty of liquidity to flow in both directions on both channels.
