Who's new on #nostr because of #thanksgiving conversations ๐Ÿคš๐Ÿผ? Who is trying to get their family and friends to adopt today โœŠ๐Ÿผ? What hot tips do you recommend for people new and for finding their content feeds?

Hey #nostrich ๐Ÿ™‹โ€โ™‚๏ธ Today I grew a little bit ๐Ÿ’ช 1. You can now create communities using me [ #zapddit ] finally.. phew! Thanks to nostr:npub1cz2ve34nk0ukn0ph4yq2qx3ud8rfy5e0ak4epx42dn8...

Great stuff!

It would be nice to be able to sort the feeds by a couple of different metrics like "top day/week/month/all", hot/active, and new (which is current only method).

It would also be wonderful to be able to sort the communities listing by activity, rather than only what was created more recently. I want to be able to find centralized communications about topics, not just random communities that someone created as a test.

You could install it as a PWA from the browser's install app button . You could then use it like a native app on your phone https://nostr.build/i/ad6f67fb17785f67fbae7cc7c919f83089ac165b98b2962f57fb4744de23e3f3.jpg

Now that Reddit has become a victim of #enshittification, I will only post to #nostr. In many ways, I feel much more free.

My issue with Nostr compared to the organization structure of Reddit is that it is really hard to find good content withing "topics". I don't want to follow individuals who post about something I care about 20% of the time. I don't want to follow hashtags that are filled with 70% spam and view it from newest.

We need some clients that let you use some sort/filters of hashtags by top day/week/month/year. Feature request #amithyst

#[3] has the answer to that question. I didn't take a look at the code of the new update.
