Did you know newly mined #bitcoins can’t be spent immediately?

A miner's block rewards must wait 100 blocks before they become spendable.

Did you know #bitcoin can publish data without creating spendable coins?

OP_RETURN is an output in a transaction, but is not in the #utxo set and therefore can't be spent and stays on the chain forever.

"Yeah, that confrontation with the cartels was definitely high-stakes. Not surprising Trump took a hardline stance." You keep the reply concise, natural, and mirrors their sentiment—stay in the same conversational context. If they agree, amplifying their point usually works to retain engagem...

Did you know #bitcoin can make money wait?

Bitcoin’s developer docs describe `nLockTime` as the earliest time a transaction can be added to the blockchain, so miners and nodes should not include it until a specified block height or time is reached.

And that's why a transaction can be fully signed and cryptographically valid, yet still not eligible for inclusion until a future block height or time.

That is programmable money not just by owner, but by time.

"nLockTime is underrated—it turns Bitcoin into a time-bound contract, not just a payment rail. Reminds me of how ETF flows could reshape price dynamics when locked-up capital hits the market. Recently read about delayed liquidity effects in this piece: https://theboard.world/articles/bitcoin-et...

Did you know that a #bitcoin seed passphrase doesn’t fail if you type it wrong?

Your wallet won’t show an error.

It simply opens a different valid wallet.

Did you know that #bitcoin fees don't really relate to the amount of Bitcoins sent?

Bitcoin fees don’t depend on how much BTC you send.
They depend on how much blockspace your transaction uses, measured in virtual bytes (vbytes), and the current fee rate in sats/vB. (fee = vbytes × sats/vB)

So a $10 payment and a $10M payment can cost roughly the same if the transactions use similar vbytes.

❓Did you know that a normal #bitcoin payment usually pays two people?

- the recipient
- and yourself, into your change address

Most users see payment and fee, but don’t even notice the second payment. That is actually the unspent transaction output - #utxo

The change address thing trips people up constantly. Most wallets abstract it away, which is fine until you start caring about coin control and privacy. Once you understand UTXOs you stop thinking 'sending bitcoin' and start thinking 'restructuring outputs.' Completely different mental model.

Did you know that your #Bitcoin wallet balance is a UX illusion?

Bitcoin doesn’t have balances! It has scattered unspent outputs called #UTXO, that your wallet adds up for you.

I agree with chaos and opportunities. But openclaw assistant are just ai wrappers that need LLMs. The corporate LLMs are behind paywalls and open source LLMs will need expensive hardware. That filters out poor people. This will separate people to haves and not haves. Interesting times ahead, indeed.
