F2Pool already knows that having their blocks rejected by a bunch of non-economic nodes will have exactly zero effect upon their business.
That only works if all the mining pools agree not to adopt the BIP. If even one of the pools signals or thinks that another pool is about to signal, the prisoners dilemma plays out. Everyone will be watching. I know the CORE 30 supporters say it won’t happen, but I know they are worried that someone will flinch and flip to signal for the BIP.

In just 16yrs the database is close to 1tb...at the current run rate, it will be unwieldy in another 10yrs...yeah if ossification is what it will take to cut down the bs and jpeg crap from these arrog...
Its currently about 600GB. The worst case scenario is it’s 5TB in 10 years. But most likely 1.5-2TB. As long as we don’t do something completely stupid like increase the block size Bitcoin should stay small enough that anyone with a modern hard drive can still host it, well into the future.

It seems contradictory that you are promoting payments on bitcoin main network but lightning was built to support payments ! ..
