Just re-watched the original 1987 Predator movie, the one with Arnold S., former Governor of California.

And it is surprising how well the movie has held up. Some of the special effects are not as slick as today's but they are still pretty good.

The scenario is one of the shortest ever written, a blend of Island of Dr Moreau, alien and creature of the black lagoon (OK, maybe not that last one) but the suspense and tension are still there.

Because, yes, of course:

"most lawsuits were eventually won by governments, the persistent and intensive litigation [...] suggests other objectives beyond winning: slowing down the rollout of new laws, and crushing the [...] ability of other countries [...] to adopt similar policies.

Crucially, the lawsuits have had the effect of prolonging the deadly and growing global obesity crisis, costing countries billions of dollars in legal and healthcare costs, Tedros said."
