This reminds me of the Guardian Angels from my youth in Vancouver, Canada — volunteer-based civilian patrols that focused on community relations and neighborhood presence. I believe they still exist in some form. Maybe something like that could complement your initiative?

I’ve really enjoyed Bedford over the past two years during the conference, and I admire the steps you’re taking. I hope your pilot project yields results and sparks even more ideas to revitalize and beautify the town.
