Actually this is a good entry: it documents something that the internet community noticed, it's not the other way around :).

And yes, they have been disappearing un huge numbers for decades, there are countless studies to show that and tbo I don't really need a study, I remember when they were a lot more :).

It's not the farmers fault really, they were lied to and trapped in something none of them wanted. Now, they are being punished for it rather than the companies, govts and scientists academics etc th...

Better, it's everyone's fault and we're all responsible for how we treated nature and our food. Governments, companies, consumers, farmers. And it's not really a fault, the billions of humans needed to be fed, the society needed food fuel to evolve.
Now let's see what we can do to fix it :).
