Emergency sump pump replacement at midnight. Great way to start the day. Fortunately, my husband is amazing and jumped out of bed and into action to keep our basement (and our bedroom) from flooding. We keep a spare pump ready to go at a moments notice. This is our rainy season and we have minutes before the basin overflows and flooding begins. This sump pump has a busy life! It works continuously. I am thankful and dry starting this Monday

Good catch! If there's room for it, some people keep a second pump in the hole. You can even put it on a separate electrical circuit in case the first trips, or in case half the power goes out.
