I have launched my new service: https://arkfile.net

This is a client-side encrypted file backup/sharing app using object storage to store encrypted blobs -- extremely privacy centric. No email for signup, uses OPAQUE auth to keep passwords client side too. MFA required for all accounts for better security. Fully FOSS.

Certain individuals in Bitcoin are angry or are feigning anger about the fact that BTC is also being used as C or HA while they prefer it be used solely as DP (MoE/UoA).

The filter crowd thinks they can "fix" BTC such that it will only work as DP.

This is delusional & intractable.

BTC is a technology platform as much as it is a money, a canvas or anything else.

It is novel in this respect in the realm of scientific discoveries & inventions.

Ironically, the filter crowd propose a mechanism (limit OP_RETURN) that hinders some of the most active DP users: Those using BIP47 Paynyms & Whirlpool Coinjoins (Tx0).

If the filter crowd got their way actual DP users would be limited in their ability to use BTC privately.

*Until such time as workarounds are developed. **Which they most certainly would be. ***Only a matter of time.

So who really benefits?

My suspicion is the Filter Crowd are a front for moneyed interests that actually want not JPEG inscriptions, but Private DP usage to be restricted.

We shall see.
