🌈 Sapin-Sapin — Great for Selling! ^-^
Ingredients
- 5 cups glutinous rice flour
- 4 cups coconut milk (gata)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 can condensed milk
- Coconut oil or any cooking oil, for greasing the molds
- Powdered food coloring — orange and violet
For the Latik
- 3 cups coconut milk (gata)
Procedure
1. Mix the **glutinous rice flour, coconut milk, sugar, and condensed milk** together. Do not add the oil or food coloring yet.
2. Strain the mixture to remove any lumps. Make sure the flour is well dissolved.
3. Divide the mixture into **three portions**.
4. Leave one portion white. Add **orange food coloring** to the second portion and **violet food coloring** to the third portion.
5. Grease the molds lightly with oil.
6. Add **1 tablespoon of the mixture** for each layer.
7. Steam each layer for **5 minutes** before adding the next one.
**Example:**
- Add the white mixture → steam for 5 minutes.
- Add the orange mixture → steam for another 5 minutes.
- Add the violet mixture → steam for another 5 minutes.
8. Allow the sapin-sapin to **cool completely** before removing it from the molds.
🥥 How to Make Latik
1. Pour **3 cups of coconut milk** into a pan.
2. Bring it to a boil and continue cooking until the coconut milk starts forming curds.
3. Stir occasionally once the curds begin to form so they don't burn.
4. Continue cooking until the curds turn **golden brown** and the oil separates.
5. Once browned and cooked, your **latik** is ready!
