More nuanced than that. Payer can have tokens ready and have no internet, hotel might have their own private connection and be able to get their money on the spot.

Even if both parties have no connectivity the tokens being transferred at least should the credits existed at some point, even if it’s possible for them to be rescinded.

People that live in areas with poor or non-existent mobile internet access can still transact with Bitcoin using ecash.

Trust is required for receivers without internet access, but your wallet can help you understand and manage the risk.

Flexa doesn't support LN though so you need to intro another middle man to make the UX fast

@ZEUS wallet turns 7 today.

We'd like to take this moment to thank all our contributors, friends, family, partners, and most importantly, users — without whom none of this would be possible. There have been 63 code contributors, 153 translators, over a dozen designers, and now four full-time employees who have shipped 225 releases totaling over 5 million downloads.

Thousands of channels have been opened. Hundreds of Bitcoin have been routed.

Today we begin our first rollout of pre-alpha builds of our upcoming v0.13.0 release to ZEUS Pay+ subscribers and community sponsors. This release features a ton of major UX improvements including a new progressive "graduated wallet" flow that gently guides an absolute novice toward becoming a passionate power user, a brand new high-performance implementation of Cashu ecash, and an accompanying mint discovery and review system powered by your Nostr social graph. We eagerly anticipate your feedback as we roll out builds to more users over the coming weeks and months.
