Yeah, same, but look how stable we now are, and what good choices in partner we've made. We grew up around people modeling a way of life that is very difficult to recreate, unless you're raised in it....

Being married is not an indicator for living in a happy or even functioning relationship. Yes, children learn through observation and a child being raised within a healthy family environment is certainly more likely to apply those factors observed later in their own life. However, there are plenty couples out there who are not married and raising children within that healthy environment, and, on the opposite site, plenty of married couples who fight and contempt each other and living in highly disfunctioning relationships. The article itself btw uses ‘marriage’ and ‘two-parent family’ interchangeably, which discredits the argument they are trying to make, leaving me with the assumption that, taken the results of the study are correct, in fact a child doesn’t receive its advantages in life because their parents are married, but because it has been raised in a two parents household.

I think I will take Princess Aurora and just go live on the Appalachian Trail for the warmer months this year rather than trying to succeed in society because it's becoming obvious that's not meant to...

That resonates a lot with me. Just being out in the wilderness, away from all the meaningless nowadays society imposes on you- just walk, sleep, eat and being alone with your thoughts without all the unnecessary distractions. Although after doing some research into long distance hiking trails last year I think that the Appalachian Trail would be still too crowded for my taste.

It is truly ridiculous how many people have an opinion about things they hardly have any knowledge about or lived experience on. Imo people need to become more humble (again):
I think it’s hard for people who have been raised under the impression that they are the center of the world and that their opinion matters- always, no matter what. In the best case it’s ignorant, in the worst case it’s presumptuous, keeps people from listening to each other, and depending on the context may have real life consequences based solely on people’s opinion about a subject.

Started making my own granola and am absolutely happy with the results and taste!

Growing and producing my own food is incredibly important to me and I always search for new ways to use the products we produce on our own land:

For these two varieties of granola I used both our @SweetSats honey and @SweetSats maple syrup: one slightly sweeter version with almonds, vanilla extract and our maple syrup— and one more hearty variety with pumpkin seeds, dried cranberries, cacao nibs and our honey.

Grateful to have so many food producers on nostr and their awesome products to complement for the ones we are not able to produce/grow ourselves. For these batches I used @Bitcoin Beans cacao nibs and organic vanilla extract we brought from @Gabi while in @Bitcoin Jungle Costa Rica. 🙏

Yes, very lovely! I always felt that was such a shame about beans, that they lose so much of their pattern when cooked and become hard to tell apart. But they're beautiful to display now as you have done!
