I’ve tried a lot of things over the past few years that people have thought were “stupid” and “insane”, and those stupid and insane things taught me everything. Intellect and theory can onl...

Agreed and well said.
While outcome is certainly important when considering an action, often it’s simply others disagreement of what the desired outcome should be that causes others to dismiss something.
Outcome is important, because an endeavor without an outcome defeats the goal of acting with intention and purpose. But those outcomes aren’t limited to tangible or productive categories. We spend too much time pursuing reward and compensation, rather than joy and fulfillment.
Maybe things like NOSTR will narrow the gap between those tangibles and the intangible. We can reward people for bringing joy and sharing their fulfillment actions.
Keep chasing those stupid ideas. Do those insane things. Chase joy over happiness and pursue fulfillment by fulfilling others.

I've been thinking a lot about the Fourth Turning lately as well as the Bitcoin halving cycles. What if Bitcoin also has cycles within cycles? What if the fourth halving is the fourth turning of Bit...

Now that’s an interesting thought. Can we see the pattern of generational theory in money like Bitcoin? It’s probably too early to make that observation with certainty but we’ve seen pattern within Bitcoin because it’s algorithmically perfect money. Certainly there is merit in seeing at least parallels and correlations in its behavior in relation to social behavioral theories.
The challenging with this Fourth turning is that we haven’t seen the culmination of the fourth turning yet, with just a few years left in that cycle. Either full escalation is averted, or it’s coiled like a spring and the resulting chaos will be substantial.
I personally have grown comfortable with this prolonged consolidation in Bitcoin. We can stack Sats and let the potential energy build as Bitcoin permeates into every financial nook and cranny.

Just saw this comment on a video and it sums it up pretty well: The United States, as a hegemon, has historically relied on a trinity of control mechanisms: 1) covert action and plausible deniability, 2) institutional legitimacy (IMF, World Bank, UN), and 3) persuasive narrative ("promoting demo...

Has anyone noticed that after invading Venezuela on the pretext of deposing an illegitimate authoritarian president, that the US has left the illegitimate authoritarian vice-president in charge under the pretext that Venezuela isn’t ready to have elections, after just having elections that made the authoritarian regime illegitimate?

Just a thought.

Details details. Seems like some geopolitical theater at play. I haven’t followed the specifics closely but I’d guess they came to a back channel deal with Maduro and no forcible abduction was necessary (correct me if I’m wrong about that, and more details have come out cause nostr:nprofile...
