I must say, my drives to work just aren’t the same since @preston signed off. I was a staunch value investor, and over the years he eventually showed me the bitcoin light. I don’t have many regrets, but I was blessed to be able to go to Bitcoin Atlantis a few years ago as an extravagant birthday present, and Preston was by a coffee booth getting a coffee like a normal person… and I’m thinking to myself “you need to at least say hi and thank him”, “don’t be too weird though”, “wait, how what are you going to say without being too fan-boy like or weird”… and this monologue continued until some other notable bitcoin people approached him and the rest is history… Hope all is well Preston, and thank you!

Just got this email “You’re now using Gemini on your iOS device” wtf. Didn’t select or opt in to anything. Anyone know how to turn that off? (And yes, I know I shouldn’t be using Google, but in the interim and off switch would be useful)

A message from our school’s technology director… making me continue to question our public school system and the negative effects of social media on children…

“I want to make you aware of and share information regarding a new concerning social media trend that involved students intentionally attempting to short-circuit their Chromebook, which can and in some cases has led to Chromebooks catching fire. Students are doing this by inserting conductive items such as paper clips, graphite from pencils, gum wrappers, and other metal objects into one of the ports on the side of the Chromebook, usually the USB port. This causes the Chromebook to spark, smoke, stop working, or even catch fire, posing a significant safety hazard. “
Hmm… it does sound a bit more exciting than memorizing the quadratic formula… but something is wrong here…

Will this be the year they realize that the coins in their Easter eggs are merely coins taken from their own piggy banks when they weren’t watching? It’s a great Bitcoin lesson in the making!
