Agree with you on most points. I first heard about it on rabbit hole recap and they really exaggerated it.

But I think the language around wallets is a bit vague and seems to leave room for them to go after, say, sparrow wallet transactions down the road. But yes, it does seem like the intent is to tax exchanges and other services like Strike, River, Swan.

Short term, I’m sure they are primarily focused on big players like Coinbase.

I have a theory about AI generated content.

The people that can’t tell what’s AI generated and what’s not are the same people that leave “motion smoothing” turned on when they buy a new TV.

And if you don’t know what motion smoothing is, you’re probably one of the people that can’t reliably pick out AI content from real content.

I switched my DCA from Strike to River, mainly because I grew tired of Mallers’ immature attitudes on several topics. Couldn’t support Strike anymore.

Plus, Strike hides their fees inside the price spread while claiming “no fees”.

XXI always looked like a bad idea to me.

Good call. Signing up with River is on my list. There are too many dark clouds hanging over the "new" Strike. Looks like the pleb movement may be heading towards the XXI exits.
