Like others said, it's hardy not invasive. There's been three to four rhubarb plants in di yard for ages and they stay put. It's easy to grow, you can put a bucket over the plant (once a season) to force it grow faster, tried it once but did not notice a difference.

You can harvest it three to six times (depending on your location) a season, they are the best (soft) when young, around late may, start of june. Harvest when the stalks are around ~10-15 inches long.
